It's Oktoberfest time at Bear Mountain!

The German food and beer will be flowing once again during New York's largest Oktoberfest celebration.

The Bear Mountain Oktoberfest features authentic beer, food and music in a beautiful setting at the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area just off the Palisades Parkway. The free event kicks off on September 30 and will take place each weekend through October 22, including Columbus Day.

The Bear Mountain Oktoberfest includes great German bands such as The Adlers, Alpine Squeeze and 18-time Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra. Aside from music, the event features dancing, corn hole and ring toss games, local vendors and, of course, plenty of beer and food.

Bear Mountain will be cooking up mouth-watering bratwurst, knockwurst, schnitzel and giant pretzels. This family-friendly event includes kids activities too. There will be pony rides, a bean bag toss and even a bounce castle.

The event is free to enter and you can purchase discount parking in advance, as well as a special VIP Oktoberfest upgrade. The VIP ticket will include parking, an official T-shirt, stein, access to a special VIP section and unlimited food and beer. If that doesn't make you want to put on some lederhosen and raise your glass, I don't know what will.

This family-friendly event will be kicking off the weekend of September 30, so mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate. For more details and to pre-purchase parking or VIP packages visit the Bear Mountain website.
