NYC Names Morningside Heights Block ‘George Carlin Way’ In Honor Of Late Comedian

George Carlin grew up on W 121st Street in Morningside Heights, between Amsterdam and Broadway.

Carlin always talked about his old neighborhood in his comedy acts, and remained friends with many people from there.

They held a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon where they put the sign up "George Carlin Way'.

Mayor Bill de Blasio signed off to honor Carlin following a 2 year petition drive
