My Lost Treasure: Strawberry Alarm Clock

We are still working on our food and drink theme here on My Lost Treasure.  In honor of the eating and drinking season that we are currently in.  Today we are going back to the psychedelic sounds of the mid to late 1960s.

The summer of love was in 1967.  I was pretty young then, and did not know about sex and drugs and rock and roll yet.  But even the hit songs that we could hear over and over again on WABC radio out of New York City were psychedelic.  Today's lost treasure is one of those songs.  And it has a double food reference.  Both the band name and the song title include foods.  Perfect for the theme.
