Man Killed During FBI Shootout in Westchester

In a situation that reads like the plot of a wild, noirish crime drama complete with interwoven crimes and characters, a Connecticut man has been killed in a shootout with local officers and members of the FBI. Not only that, but a missing woman and a bank robbery suspect were both found alive at the scene.

According to WTNH, the FBI, accompanied by police officers from several local departments, showed up at a hotel in Ardsley, NY to execute a search that they had for a hotel room when the gunfire began.

During the melee, 43-year-old Samuel Galberth of New Haven, CT was killed and two Sergeants, one from the Greenburgh PD and one from the Dobbs Ferry PD, were injured, but have since been released from the hospital. Authorities note that Galberth was "sought in connection with more than one investigation in Connecticut and elsewhere."

Police say that the missing woman found alive at the scene was identified as Jeffon Suggs, also of New Haven. WTNH reports that Police had been searching for Suggs for weeks after she was last seen with 40-year-old mother of three, Tamika Jones, who was found dead inside of a car in Fitchburg, MA on May 14.

It's also been reported that 55-year-old Darryl Donnell Henry of New Haven has been arrested after he was also in the Ardsley, NY hotel room with Galberth and Suggs. Henry is a considered a suspect in two robberies of the same Wells Fargo bank.

As if all of that wasn't enough of a sensory overload, it's been reported that the man killed in the shootout, Samuel Galberth, is the cousin of Tramaine Poole, the Connecticut man who was also killed by police after a nearly two-month nationwide manhunt.
