There’s nothing quite like summer in the Hudson Valley! We get to take in the natural beauty of green grass, beautiful flowers and warm, sunny days. This is my favorite season and it makes me happy to enjoy everything that this season has to offer.

During the day, we can go on walks and hikes, go swimming and attend local outdoor events. On warm summer nights, the fun can continue by listening to nature, attending concerts, stargazing and more!

Experience A Summer Night Under The Stars On A Scenic Hudson Valley Train Ride

All aboard for some summer fun! It’s the perfect way to kick back, relax and take in the beautiful views of the Hudson Valley. I love the idea behind the Catskill Mountain Railroad’s events.

They are offering a Twilight Limited Special train ride, which provides riders with music from local entertainers while they enjoy a night under the stars.

Where Does The Catskill Mountain Railroad Twilight Limited Special Train Ride Go To In Kingston?

Catskill Mountain Railroad shared that the Twilight Limited Special takes place around sunset. Guests can enjoy the beautiful evening sky as the stars begin to appear during this ride.

The train rides are round trips from the Kingston Plaza, where the Westbrook Lane Station is located. The Catskill Mountain Railroad train ride will travel across Esopus Creek, through the flats of Hurley and up Hurley Mountain as well! The Twilight Limited Special experience is about an hour and half long.

When Can We Experience A Summer Night On The Catskill Mountain Railroad?

On August 28, 2026, we can hop aboard The Catskill Mountain Railroad for their Twilight Limited Special experience. This will leave the Westbrook Station at 7:30pm.

For ticket prices, be sure to visit their website. Toddlers under the age of two get to ride for free, woohoo!

While you’re in the Kingston area, be sure to explore the night time options available. Guests can enjoy local bars and restaurants, take a stroll along the waterfront for fresh air and views. We can check out what’s playing at the Ulster Performing Arts Center to see live entertainment.
