As the weather warms up in the Hudson Valley area, more outdoor events and activities are being scheduled.

I enjoy visiting local businesses and attending their outdoor festivities along with listening to live, local music. The warmer months allow us to soak in the sun and embrace the beauty that surrounds us in the Hudson Valley.

A Ulster County, NY farm has been a popular spot for many years. This award winning farm is 200 years old.

Now, one of the Hudson Valley's tourist attractions, it was once a farm where many farm animals lived. Since the 1770's, this farm was home to pigs, chickens, dairy cattle and more.

They have over 30 farm attractions which are available for all age groups.

What Attractions Does Kelder's Farm Have Available On Site?


During Fall of 2023, this Ulster County, NY farm added new attractions to their location.

Guests were not only able to see farm animals, enjoy mini golf, visit the corn crib and taproom but more. Their pumpkin and candy cannons looked fun along with the ropes course.

Kelder's Farm also had a 60 foot jumping pad which looked like a giant Jack-O-Lantern.

Apple, flower, berry, vegetable and pumpkin picking has also been available at this popular farm. There is something for every age group to experience at Kelder's Farm.

Kelder's Farm Reopens For The Season With Exciting Spring Events


Kelder's Farm reopened for the season on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

In a recent post on social media, they explained that once they are open, their hours of operation will be everyday 10am until 6pm except Wednesday when they will be closed.

Their Premier Hudson Valley Tulip Festival has also returned. During this festival, guests can enjoy the beautiful view of over 200,000 tulips.

Kelder's Farm explained, 

"Tulip festival typically runs three weeks or so depending on the weather and growing conditions that influence the tulips bloom!"

Guests can also pick their own tulips and flowers during the festival. Kelder's Farm has 100+ varieties of beautiful and different colors of flowers.

Foodies Can Enjoy Delectable Bites And More At Kelder's Farm In Kerhonkson, NY


Kelder's Farm has a wide variety of food and drink options for everyone.

Their Loading Dock has New York State made beer, wine and hard cider. Foodies will also enjoy the Pizza Barn filled with pizzas, drinks, special desserts including their famous Gnomie shake and more.

The Farmer's Grill includes food options such as burgers, chicken tenders, fries and more. Additional drink options are also included here.

The Largest Garden Gnome Can Be Found At Kelder's Farm In Kerhonkson, NY


This isn't something that you see everyday while driving around the Hudson Valley.

Chomsky is the World's Largest Garden Gnome at Kelder's Farm located in Kerhonkson, NY. Roadside America has shared additional information about this giant gnome.

Chomsky greets customers from the side of a busy road in Ulster County, NY. He stands tall, happy and dressed nicely.

Roadside America also explained that Chomsky is 13.5 feet tall and was known for being "the world's largest when he was built in 2006 by Maria Reidelbach, an artist in New York City.
