Pawling Handyman Arrested, Charged With Forcible Touching of Three Women

A Pawling man has been arrested after police say he allegedly inappropriately touched several people while working on their apartments in Dutchess County, NY.

A Dutchess County man is now facing multiple charges after the New York State Police say he forcibly touched three women while working as a handyman at an apartment complex in Dover, NY.

Handyman Accused of Forcible Touching in Dutchess County, NY

According to a New York State Police press release, 46-year-old Ismeal Sipteyul of Pawling, New York, has been arrested and charged with three counts of Forcible Touching, a Class A misdemeanor.

Handyman Arrested in Dutchess County, NY

The charges stem from an investigation that began after police received reports involving Sipteyul and three adult female victims.

During the investigation, police determined that Sipteyul was working as a handyman at an apartment complex in the Town of Dover when, on three separate occasions, he allegedly forcibly touched the three women without their consent.

The investigation eventually led to Sipteyul's arrest. He was arraigned in Town of Dover Court on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Following his arraignment, he was sent to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center with bail set at $2,500 cash, a $10,000 bond, or a $30,000 partially secured bond. He is scheduled to appear back in Town of Dover Court on October 20, 2026, at 4 p.m.

Police Asking Anyone With Information To Come Forward

The New York State Police are now asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of similar conduct involving Sipteyul to contact investigators. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York State Police at (845) 677-7300.

As with any criminal case, the charges against Sipteyul are allegations, and he is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
