New York Air Show Coming to the Hudson Valley
If you didn't know, the New York Air Show is making a stop in the Hudson Valley.
The New York Air Show will make a stop at the Orange County Airport in Montgomery on August 1st and August 2nd, 2026.
When we first learned about the return of the Air Show, Orange County Government released a statement explaining:
The Hudson Valley Region was heavily involved in the Revolutionary War, and the Air Show is a great opportunity to see the force and capabilities of our current U.S. military while also visiting some historic sites.
This years Air Show "coincides with the 250th anniversary celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence."
The Thunderbirds will be headlining this years show. Before the Thunderbirds hit the Hudson Valley skies, there will be an opportunity for you to meet them!
Meet the Thunderbirds Ahead of New York Air Show
The New York State Department of Veterans' Services shared on social media that the Air Force Thunderbirds will be doing a special meet and greet ahead of this years Air Show.
The Air Force Thunderbirds will be at the National Purple Hart Hall of Honor in New Windsor on July 31st. The NYS Department of Veterans' Services writes:
This is a unique chance to connect with the team behind the precision, skill, and professionalism that have made the Thunderbirds an American institution.
The Thunderbirds will be on site at the National Purple Hart Hall of Honor on Friday July 31st from 10 am through 1 pm.

The New York Air Show will return to Montgomery in August 2027.
According to a press release:
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be taking to the Hudson Valley skies in August 28th-29 in 2027. These dates are subject to change
Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus said in the statement "We’re bringing two of the country’s most thrilling jet teams to Orange County, back-to-back. These will both be amazing air shows, and we can’t wait to welcome aviation fans from all over to experience the excitement as well as the beauty of our region.”
