My massive loss was turned into a BIG win because of one incredible person.

If you have ever taken a trip to a casino, you've probably heard the saying before that goes something like "never gamble with money you can't afford to lose" or something like that. That's great advice but after taking a recent trip to a casino in Connecticut I have to share how this massive loser (me) was turned into a huge winner.

When you plan a trip to a casino you probably have every intention of winning money right? None of us plan to drive all the way there and lose all the money we brought with us, but unfortunately, that's what normally happens. I expect to lose money every time I go but never did I think I would ever lose what I lost over the weekend.

Casino Nightmare

If you've never been to a casino before, they have a lot going on inside them. There are a ton of lights, sounds, and all kinds of things that are trying to grab your attention and spend your money. I'm the type of casino person who has to walk around a little bit before I decide to play any games so last weekend that's exactly what I did when I arrived at Foxwoods in Connecticut.

We walked around for like 20 minutes and decided to sit at a slot machine and play for a bit, so I sat down, put my phone on the side of the machine, put my money in, and away I went. I played for like 10 minutes and didn't win a nickel (shocker...LOL) so we got up and started to walk around a bit more. After 30 minutes of walking and playing, I went to look at my phone and realized that I lost my phone somewhere in the casino!

The Worst Feeling Ever

As soon as I realized I lost it my stomach dropped and my head went in a hundred different directions (if it's ever happened to you, you know that feeling!) I started to backtrack to try and find it and after searching for about 20 minutes my girlfriend said maybe we should ask if anyone turned it in at the security desk. I responded with if someone found it there's no way they turned it in. "Let's try anyway," she said.

Did Anyone Turn in a Phone?

After looking around I finally found the nearest security desk and as I walked up to ask I looked to the right of the guard and saw a phone sitting on top of the cabinet. I pointed to the phone and told the guard it was my phone, she asked me to unlock it OH MY GOD!! Someone turned it in! Honestly, I have never felt like a winner in a casino before...until NOW!! I don't know who turned it in but let me say THANK YOU to whoever did and remind folks that there are still honest people in the world, even in a casino....LOL!
