The Family Truckster Returns to the Hudson Valley

If you were driving around the Ulster County region earlier this week, you may have seen a familiar car zipping around town. No, Clark Griswold didn't pack up the family in the Family Truckster and head out to Kingston, New York. The Dittus Family from the Lake George area was actually in their replica of the Griswold Family Truckster.

This isn't the first time the Griswold Family Truckster has stopped in the Hudson Valley.

The Dittus Family has been riding around town in The Family Truckster for years, however, we first spotted the classic movie-themed car back in 2021 when it was "pulled over" in Kingston, New York

Tim Dittus shared on The Family Truckster page that they're heading south to Florida for a little vacation. Of course, they needed to stop at some point for a little snack. That stop included a stop at  Frank Guido's Little Italy.

According to the social media post Frank Guido's holds a special place in the Dittus Family's heart. They write:

On the way to FL somehow the Truckster just HAD to stop in at Frank Guido's Little Italy in Kingston, NY after seeing how their Catskill locale got flooded (again). 3 times in 3 weeks! 7 times in 8 years by the mighty Hudson. The Guidos have been a big part of my dining life for decades ever since our many boat trips to Mariner's Harbor locations in Highland and Rondout Creek, and the fabulous Little Italy.

You can take a look at the photos the Dittus family shared of their stop in Kingston below.

At last check, the Family Truckster is now in Delaware. But we'll make sure to keep an eye on their New York return and any future stop they may have in the mid-Hudson region.
