I Found The Best Pasta in The Hudson Valley at an Orange County Winery
Where is your favorite eatery to get a delicious plate of pasta in the Hudson Valley?
Best Pasta In New York State
If you didn't know, every year National Pasta Day falls on October 17th. Hopefully you celebrated accordingly and if you didn't know the holiday existed you can celebrate from now on.
In 2023, the I Love NY website curated a list of some of the best pasta spots in New York State and broke it down by region. I was shocked to see that there was only 1 restaurant from the Hudson Valley and 1 restaurant from the Catskill region.
According to the website, Northern Farmhouse Pasta in Roscoe (Catskill Region) and Ca’Mea in Hudson, New York (Hudson Valley Region) were the 2 picks. I've never had pasta from either, and I'm sure they belong on the list however, now that I've done some personal research I'd like to add another to the list.
I Found The Best Pasta in the Hudson Valley at a Wallkill, NY Winery
My social media algorithm must have known I was searching for a pasta fix.
A post by Magnanini Winery & Restaurant for their Pasta Friday popped up on my timeline last week and got me hook, line and sinker.
The Wallkill, New York winery was advertising their Friday Pasta Night special with a pork chop and grilled asparagus. I texted my friends and locked in a "Girls Night" at the winery.
From what I gathered every Friday is Pasta Night at Magnanini and they make all their pasta homemade. I clearly have been living under a rock, but Pasta Night is apparently very popular at Maganini and rightfully so!
What We Ordered at Pasta Night At Magnanini Winery
The girls and I ordered one dish each and split it between the 3 of us. I went with Tagliatelle with creamy pesto.
When I say this was the most delicious pasta plate I have ever eaten, that wouldn't be doing it enough justice. It was a beautiful blend of creamy, but not too heavy, and seasoned to perfection. Plus it paired well with their Bianco Riserva.
The Pork Chop Ala Marsala special was so good that I can't even form words to describe it.
We also ordered a classic "Girl Dinner," Caesar Salad and truffle fries which we all gave an A+.
I'm not a Pasta Professional (although I want to be), but as an Italian-American and growing up going to every Italian restaurant in the area I can confidentially say that Magnanini has THE BEST pasta in the Hudson Valley region.
