Former Buffalo Bills Player Is Missing After His Mother’s Murder
The mother of a former Buffalo Bills player was murdered and he is now missing. According to WGRZ, Myrtle Brown died from "multiple injuries due to assault." The Cook County Medical Examiner has ruled Myrtle's death a homicide.
The Maywood Police Department is now searching for her son Sergio Brown, who previously played for the Buffalo Bills. Brown, who is 35 years old, was born in Maywood, Illinois. His father Mario Brown was the first African-American men's basketball player at Texas A&M University.
Brown attended the University of Notre Dame. He was undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. On April 29, 2010 he signed with the New England Patriots. He was cut by the Patriots and signed the next day to the practice squad. Brown has played for several NFL teams, including the Bills.
Brown signed with the Indianapolis Colts on September 1, 2012. Three years later, on March 11, 2015, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was released by the Jaguars one year later on April 18, 2016. Six months later, on August 20, 2016, Brown was signed by the Falcons. But he was waived by the team just a week later on August 27, 2016. The Buffalo Bills picked up Brown on November 2, 2016. Brown only played eight games with Buffalo. His number was 38.
