Four New York City men were arrested after a Hudson Valley man was shot several times. Police believe one person is still on the loose.

On Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., police responded to multiple reports of shots fired near 82 Academy Street in Poughkeepsie.

Police found a 36-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident shot multiple times. He was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Shortly after, a number of people believed to be involved in the shooting were seen running from an apartment on Montgomery Street, police say. All four were detained and a search warrant was obtained to search the apartment.

A search of the apartment led to the discovery of a handgun and heroin, officials say.

Quran Seignious, 27, Nemai Riviere,28, 21-year-old Charles Erskine and 39-year-old Odell Manning were all charged with Criminal Possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Manning was also charged as an absconder from Parole.

All were held pending their arraignment.

It's believed another person was involved in the shooting and fled the area, according to City of Poughkeepsie Police. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the City of Poughkeepsie Police at 451-7577.
