How Much Does New York Spend on Each Hudson Valley Student?

Depending on where you live in the Hudson Valley, New York State could be investing a lot or very little in your child's education.

Data complied by NYDatabases.com shows exactly how much money each student receives in state aid. The money is given to school districts depending on the calculated wealth ratio of that particular area of the Hudson Valley. Of course, wealthier communities receive much less in aid than those with economic challenges.

We crunched the numbers to find out which school districts receive the most money from New York State per child. We were surprised to find such a wide range, from only $3,000 in Rhinebeck to over $35,000 per student in the Orange County cummunity of Kiryas Joel.
