Heat Advisory Replaces Warning for Tuesday’s Weather
The hot weather will continue for the Hudson Valley a few more days. Doesn’t look like we get a break from the heat until the end of the week. A week cold front will move into the area Tuesday but will spark a few showers and thunderstorms but it won’t break the heat and humidity. A strong cold front will move into the area Friday, that should do the trick.
The National Weather Service will discontinue the excessive heat warning but will keep a heat advisory posted for the day on Tuesday, as temperatures and heat indexes will continue to be high. Keep the AC cranking.
Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and hot, high near 93. Heat index values as high as 102. Chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, low near 72. More isolated storms.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and hot. High near 91.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot. High around 93.
