Four children escape being charged as adults following a burglary of a home in Greene County.

Looks like these kids are on the right path to a bright future, if they like breaking law and dream of jail time of course.

On November 13, 2016 State Police in Middletown responded to a complaint of a residence in the Town of Durham.

Following an investigation by troopers, it was revealed that four juveniles had broke into the home and stole items from within. The juveniles were identified as two boys ages 9 and 14, and two girls ages 12 and 14.

All four were charged as juvenile delinquents and issued Family Court appearance tickets to appear at the Greene County Probation Department.

Had the children been adults, they would have been charged in Criminal Court on a charge of Burglary in the second-degree, according to a press release.

After the juveniles were processed, they were released to their parents.
