We've heard of emergency landings in the news. Everything from equipment malfunctions to even unruly passengers can cause a flight to have to make an inconvenient landing and thus disrupt travel for everyone on board.

This however might be a first.

A Los Angeles-bound Alaska Airlines flight was forced to land at Seattle-Tacoma Internationalafter one of the the ramp workers apparently fell asleep and became trapped in the cargo hold. Flight 448 was only in the air 14 minutes when the incident took place. According to NBC Connecticut, the pilot heard banging and screaming from within the aircraft, according to a statement released by the airline. The airline said the agent, an employee of Menzies Aviation, "told authorities he had fallen asleep." He was found in the front cargo hold, which is pressurized and temperature controlled, and "appeared okay."

The worker was an employee of Menzies Aviation. He reportedly walked off the plane and appeared well, but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
