Father Refuses to Give Up Baby With Down Syndrome

Armenia - Samuel Forrest was excited to meet his new baby boy, but he had no idea what his meeting would trigger.

The doctors told Samuel that his son had Down Syndrome. Samuel had this to say:

"They took me in to see him and I looked at this guy and I said, he's beautiful, he's perfect and I'm absolutely keeping him", as reported by Huffington Post UK.

Unfortunately Forrest's wife did not share his feelings, and gave him an ultimatum saying If he didn't put the baby up for adoption, she would divorce him. When he refused to give up his son, his wife filed for divorce a week later.

Forrest said, "When a baby like this is born here, they will tell you that you don't have to keep them. My wife had already decided, so all of this was done behind my back."
