Warming Up Your Car is Apparently Illegal

According to New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, it is illegal for a driver to leave a running vehicle without first stopping the engine, locking the ignition, and removing the key.

Police say it's to prevent vehicle theft, which makes sense. To avoid this situation, slap a remote starter on your car, then you won't have to worry about the keys being in the ignition

Turn Your Headlights on During Storms

New York State law requires you to turn on your headlights when the weather conditions require the use of windshield wipers to clear rain, snow, sleet or fog. "Daytime lights" do not qualify as headlights.

This drives me crazy! Everytime it rains, or snows, countless people fail to use their headlights.

It helps other drivers see you...
