It's a reality that we know all too well in this industry...one wrong button or short circuit could zap your radio station right off the air. With aging equipment, this has unfortunately become more and more common on all of our stations in recent years. You might be enjoying your favorite song, while at work or home, one minute...and then...silence.

(DJ's falling asleep in the studio are another possibility BTW)

However, this morning, our engineering department was sent scrambling as one of the signals on our True Oldies AM stations crashed suddenly. The cause???

Yes, look closely to the right. A spider.  This pesky arachnid actually took the entire Oldies station right off the air. One of our engineers said this an absolute first in over 25 years of managing station equipment. The good news however is that signal has been restored and the spider was squashed.
