Sunday night check out Billy Joel in Queens, Soundgarden in Oakland, REO Speedwagon in Kansas City, and more on the WPDH Soundcheck.  Sunday night at 10pm on 101.5 WPDH and on the WPDH app.

Through the years the "late" Shea Stadium in Queens has hosted many concerts through the years.  The Beatles played their twice, The Who, Rolling Stones, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Grand Funk Railroad, Jethro Tull, and others had  visited the home of the NY Mets in Flushing Queens through the years.  When it was time to tear down the old stadium and get ready for the the new :"Citi Field" that was being finished next door, there was just one person that was on the minds of concert goers.  Long Island's own Billy Joel.

It was July 18th, 2008 and many of Billy's friends came out to play with him including Roger Daltrey, Steven Tyler, Garth Brooks, Tony Bennett, John Mayer, and Sir Paul McCartney. 35 songs were played that night, we can't do all 35 but we've selected some highlights from that show on this week's edition of the WPDH Soundcheck.
