Thursday, August 20: Rock n Roll Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (Aug. 20) to Robert Plant. The legendary Led Zeppelin frontman is 67. Also, in remembrance today: Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott would have been 66 and "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott of Pantera would have been 49.

Led Zeppelin are one of the most successful rock groups of all time with between 200 to 300 million units sold worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.

Robert Plant and The Sensation Space Shifters headlined Mountain Jam 2015 this past June at Hunter Mountain and have continued to tour throughout the summer. The band will play The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on Sept. 17 and Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC Sept. 18.
