The Hudson Valley Summed Up in One Picture
We all know that living in the Hudson Valley is very different than most other parts of the country. But when a world-wide event happens, the difference becomes much clearer.
On Septermber 4 at midnight the world celebrated the release of new toys from the upcoming seventh installment of "Star Wars." Parties were thrown at stores across the country to entice shoppers to line up to be one of the first to purchase the new action figures. "Force Friday" events included raffles, trivia contests and appearances by costumed characters.
In Times Square, characters from the new film came to life while shoppers lined up for the big unveiling:
Dancing Stormtroopers entertained the masses while they waited to get inside:
And in South Korea, Darth Vader himself led the countdown to Midnight:
But back at home things were a little different....
Here's what "Force Friday" looked like in the Hudson Valley:
A Target worker in a bathrobe playing with a toy lightsaber.
