The USSR really didn't sound like a very fun place to live, and according to this list, the Soviet youth was basically not allowed to listen to anything cool on the radio at all. The Soviet Communist Party issued a list in January 1985 entitled "The Approximate List of Foreign Musical Groups and Artist Whose Repertoires Contain Ideologically Harmful Compositions" Sound ridiculous? Well, this shouldn't be too surprising considering these are the same people who thought that Julio Iglesias was a neofacist and The Village People were somehow violent.
