It looks like Poughkeepsie's newest holiday tradition took a page right out history and didn't make it through its first Hudson Valley ice age. The month of December brought colder weather, stuffed bellies and stuffed stockings. It also brought the newest Christmas decoration in the Hudson Valley, the mighty Tree-Rex.

Will the Hudson Valley be facing a shortage on Christmas trees this Holiday season? if you wait until the last minute it may cost you. The lights are hung up, the poinsettia is out and the garland is out. There's just one important thing that's missing. If you are one of those traditionalists who absolutely have to have a real Christmas tree every year then you may need to hurry up and grab it.

With December right around the corner, it's time for communities throughout the Hudson Valley to celebrate the holiday season with tree lightings, festivals, and even parades. Here's a list of some of them. If you know of others, please let me know in the comments below and I'll add them here...
