Happy Birthday today (Feb. 18) to the debut album from Kiss which turns 43. Kiss released their self-titled debut on Feb. 18, 1974. Rockers celebrating today include former Styx singer Dennis DeYoung (70) and former BTO drummer Robbie Bachman (64).

In addition to it being a big day in Kiss history with the release of the band’s debut 43 years ago, former Styx singer Dennis DeYoung celebrates a birthday (Actually, one of my favorite singers ever). I love my classic rock and I love Styx. “The Greatest Rock n Roll Band from Chicago” (in my opinion) formed in 1970 and have had a successful career that includes five consecutive mult-platinum albums and sixteen U.S. top 40 singles. Songs like “Lady”, “Come Sail Away”, “The Grand Illusion”, “Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)”, “Renegade”, and “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights)” are all staples at classic rock radio. Cheers to Dennis DeYoung on his 70th birthday.

So I recommend that you crank some old school Kiss and Styx today! It just sounds like the right thing to do (in my opinion at least.)
