Saturday, April 23: Remembering Def Leppard’s Steve Clark on His Birthday

Today (April 23) we remember Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark who would have been 56 years old. Clark was a co-lead guitarist and a principal songwriter for the band until his death in 1991 at the age of 30.

Steve Clark died from an overdose brought on by a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol. Def Leppard had their most commercially successful years during the Clark-era, but they continue to record are still a very successful touring act.
