A teenager is accused of stabbing two people in Dutchess County.

Saturday, City of Beacon Officers responded to 7 Jordan Road for a report of female that was assaulted by a man. Arriving officers say the observed a Hispanic with what appeared to be blood on both of his hands walking towards authorities.

The man, later identified as 17-year-old William Herrera Jr., of Beacon was taken into custody. Police say an investigation determined that he stabbed a female victim several times with a knife and also cut a male victim across the face with a knife.

The female victim was transported to St. Lukes Hospital where she underwent surgery for several stab wounds to her abdomen and chest area. The male victim was also transported to St. Lukes Hospital where he received stitches for a laceration to his face.

Monday, on what was Herrera’s 18th birthday, he was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, strangulation, all felonies, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief, misdemeanors.

Herrera was remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $100,000 cash $250,000

Police say the female victim is still recovering from her injuries which appear to be non-life threatening.
