Police: Poughkeepsie Man Stabbed to Death, Suspect in Custody
The man allegedly stabbed a 25-year old man one time in the chest.
On Wednesday, July, 4, 2018 at approximately 1:48 a.m., 911 recieved a report of a stabbing at 6 Hoffman Avenue.
Responding officers, once on the scene found a 25-year old Poughkeepsie resident stabbed once in the chest.
The victim was transferred to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Michael R. Baker, 30, of Poughkeepsie was taken into custody on the scene. Baker was charged with Murder second-degree. Baker is being held pending arraignment.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
