Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Near Hudson Valley Park

Police are searching for clues and hoping for help after a man was killed following reports of shots fired near a Hudson Valley park.

On Saturday around 3 a.m., City of Poughkeepsie 911 received multiple calls reporting gunshots fired in the area of North Clinton Street and Mansion Street.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds, police say. Noel McClinton, 35, of Poughkeepsie was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and will conduct an autopsy and investigation to determine the cause of death.
