The Orange County Fair returns July 18 - 28 in Middletown. The fair is packed full of entertainment this year, which is free with fair admission. Being a father of two young daughters, it's great to see the Orange County Fair back and better than ever. Bringing along with it the memories from my childhood, that I can pass along to my children.

The fair has so many rides to choose from, including my older daughter's favorites, the Alien Invasion and the Super Cyclone Coaster.' She loves how the Alien Invasion makes her stick to the wall, as it spins "super fast," as she says.

The fair also has the standard rides we know and love, like the bumper cars and ferris wheel. I remember losing a prize I had won when I was a kid because I got a little carried away on the bumper cars. It was there one second and gone the next.

This year the Orange County Fair will offer Close Encounters of the Exotic Kind: Royal Bengal Tigers and African lion show and the Knights of Valor Extreme Jousting. The jousting left my kids amazed.

We had so much fun playing games, and no matter what she says, my daughter didn't pop more balloons than me with her darts. I was really trying to win a goldfish, but I failed miserably.

This year, there's even a Redneck Warriors Obstacle Course, which includes hatchet throwing, deer drag, and mudslinging on a timed course.

My family and I are looking forward to all the special event days. My daughters are looking forward to seeing the monster trucks. The entertainment at this year's Orange County Fair looks absolutely amazing! With so many great acts performing, it's hard to pick which one to attend. I guess we'll have to try and see them all!

More specifically my wife and I are looking forward to Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Asia, The Machine, and Jim Breuer.
