ABC 7 NY is reporting that a tugboat crashed and overturned on the Hudson River Saturday morning. The crash happened around 5;30 a.m. near the new Tappan Zee bridge when the southbound tugboat hit a construction barge.

One person is dead and two others are currently missing.

The Coast Guard says that the barge was carrying workers on the Rockland County side of the bridge.

The tugboat involved in the accident is known as The Specialist. The Specialist was not involved in the new Tappan Zee project.
