A New York nurse, who was convicted of taking a picture of an unconscious patient's penis last year with her iPhone last year, has surrendered her license.

Kristen Johnson was forced to surrender her nursing license as part of a plea deal after pleading guilty to disseminating of unlawful surveillance photos.

Johnson's conviction came after a 9-month investigation following complaints from her co-workers that she sent the pictures of two patients via text message at an Upstate University Hospital.

Originally, she was charged with two counts of second degree unlawful surveillance, and one count second-degree disseminating unlawful surveillance. The felony charge was reduced, as part of her plea, which also requires three years of probation.

Johnson surrendered her license, and did not contest the charge of moral unfitness in the practice, as reported by CBS 6.
