My Lost Treasure: The Kinks

The current theme on My Lost Treasure is places... cities, towns, countries, etc.  Today's song is actually about an area of London.  Really, it's about a station in an area in London. It is such a great song, that it's good enough for me.

I love The Kinks, always have and always will.  But I'm sending this one out to Steve Lindenauer who is an even bigger Kinks fan than I am.  There has been a lot of talk lately about The Kinks getting back together.  It hasn't happened yet, and I'm not sure if it ever will.  But at least there is a ton of old Kinks music that we can listen to.

Rolling Stone Magazine once called today's lost treasure the best song ever.  I have to agree it is at least one of the best.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying listening to it right now.  And big thanks to my friend Dan the Man for introducing me to the deeper cuts from The Kinks.
