My Lost Treasure: Janis Joplin

Our current theme on My Lost Treasure is up and down.  Songs with up or down in the title.  Pretty easy theme, and there are a lot of songs that fit.  I have already gotten some great suggestions, and I am going to try to get to all of them.

Today's lost treasure is one I came up with all on my own.  I feel like it used to be a staple on rock radio, but I do not here it very much these days.  Which is what makes it a lost treasure.  I was still pretty young when Janis Joplin came onto the music scene, but not too young to appreciate her.  As I have mentioned many times before I have an older brother and an older sister, so I got to hear a lot of cool music even as a really little kid.  I remember my brother owning some Janis Joplin albums.  I guess she had already died when I really got to know her music.  Thank God that will never die.
