My Lost Treasure: Ian Hunter

The theme right now on My Lost Treasure is a letter theme that was inspired by the Letter Game that we play on The Boris and Robyn Show. We're playing a week of songs starting with each letter of the alphabet. Today it's an O song from Mott the Hoople's Ian Hunter. A lot of younger people only know Great White's cover of this song, but it was originally Ian Hunter.

I got to meet Ian Hunter a few years back when he played at The Chance in Poughkeepsie.  At least it feels like a few years, but it is probably more than just a few.  We got to go back stage, and he was so nice and humble. I met Ian again more recently at a show at Daryl's House in Pawling.  I gave him a WPDH guitar pick, told him how much I admired him, and he looked at me like I had two heads. Then I slinked back to my table.  Oh well, one out of two isn't too bad.
