My Lost Treasure: CCR and Marvin Gaye

The theme on My Lost Treasure right now is food and drink.  Today the food is grapes and we have not one, but two great versions of the same grape song.  The original, and an awesome remake that we used to play pretty often on WPDH considering it is about eleven minutes long.

You have probably already figured out that the song is I heard It Through The Grapevine.  It was written by Barrett Strong, and originally done by Marvin Gaye. Gladys Knight and The Pips also had a hit with it, but today we are sticking to the Creedence Clearwater Revival version, and for the purists, the original version by Marvin Gaye.  Both awesome versions of a great song.
