Monday, August 17: Rock n Roll Birthdays

Happy Birthday today to Gilby Clarke. The one time rhythm guitarist for Guns N' Roses is 53. Also celebrating today is former Boston drummer Sib Hashian (66).

Gilby Clarke played with Guns N' Roses for 3 years, replacing Izzy Stradlin in 1991 during the Use Your Illusion Tour. Clark went on to a career as a solo artist and music producer after leaving the band. He also had his own group Rock Star Supernova with members of Metallica and Motley Crue.

Clarke appeared at the Guns N' Roses Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2012 performing with fellow G n'R members Slash, Steven Adler, Matt Sorum, and Duff McKagan.
