Man With Active Warrants Runs Into Swamp to Avoid Police
A man with multiple driving suspensions, and active warrants attempted to run from troopers following a traffic stop in Dutchess County.
In the Town of LaGrange at approximtely 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Troopers stopped Albert R. Cline, age 34, of Clinton, NY, for vehicle and traffic violations.
Cline exited the vehicle immediately after stopping and ran to avoid arrest. Troopers caught up Cline in a nearby swamp.
Cline stated to troopers that he ran because he had 17 suspensions on his license and two active warrants for his arrest.
Cline was charged with: Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Bail Jumping, all Class A Misdemeanors, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.
He was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 bond.
Cline is schedule to be back in court later next month.
