The Recording Academy has issued a statement on a list of leaked supposed winners for the 2019 Grammys. According to the Grammys’ governing body, the list (which shows Greta Van Fleet losing the Best New Artist award) is not legitimate.

A short list was thrown onto Twitter last night (Jan. 28). The original tweet has since been deleted, but plenty of screenshots were taken. One screenshot was reposted by a Taylor Swift fan account:

As you can see, the supposed winner for Best New Artist is listed as Chloe x Halle. This is one of four categories Greta Van Fleet are nominated for, and the only such category that was included in the “leak.”

The list shows Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” as Song of the Year, Cardi B’s “I Like It” as Record of the Year, H.E.R.’s H.E.R. as Album of the Year, Beck’s “Colors” as Best Pop Solo Performance, Zedd’s “The Middle” as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Taylor Swift’s Reputation as Best Pop Vocal Album.

"There is no legitimacy to this,” the Recording Academy tells Complex. “GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes."

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 10 on CBS, so only then will fans know if the leak is truthful or not.
