Greta Van Fleet bassist Sam Kiszka confirmed in a recent interview with Australian publication Heavy Magazine that the band will "definitely" release their second album in 2019.

When asked about plans for a follow up record to their full-length debut Anthem of the Peaceful Army, Kiszka said, "We were talking and I think we all decided earlier this month that we need to do a record as soon as possible. So the one thing I can say right now is that you can definitely expect album 2 in 2019...We're gonna make the music that we want to hear, and we're going to grow musically." This was not the group's first discussion of releasing new music this year as drummer Danny Wagner told Billboard in December that he will quit the band if they don't. While they haven't specifically stated whether their sound will change, singer Josh Kiszka told Rolling Stone that the band wants to move on from the Led Zeppelin companions. "Obviously we hear the similarity," Kiszka said. "But at this point it's like, 'Okay, we've acknowledged that. Let's move on.'"

Greta Van Fleet are currently on tour in Australia and have shows in Europe and South America coming this spring before they return stateside. See all their stops here.
