Last in Line Brings Show to New York Area This Week
Last in Line featuring Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell alongside fellow founding Dio members and Andrew Freeman on vocals will play Buffalo this Thursday (March 30) and Poughkeepsie this Friday (March 31).
The Dio offshoot band Last In Line released their debut album Heavy Crown last year via Frontiers Music Srl. According to Blabbermouth.net, the cd was recorded at Southern California studio and produced by Jeff Pilson, a veteran bassist who plays with Foreigner and formerly of Dokken, Dio, and many other bands. Singer Andrew Freeman (a former Pine Bush, NY resident) most recently performed in the Las Vegas production “Raiding The Rock Vault” and previously performed in George Lynch’s Lynch Mob and The Offspring among others. In addition to Vivian Campbell on guitar and Andrew Freeman on vocals, the band includes drummer Vinny Appice, bassist Phil Soussan, and keyboardist Erik Norlander. Original bassist for the band, Jimmy Bain passed away last year after a battle with lung cancer.
I am excited to see this band coming up at The Chance in Poughkeepsie this Friday night. Also on the bill at the Chance show is Gothic Knights, Big Guns featuring Rachel Lorin, Everwar, and Xero Tolerance. Tickets for the 7pm show can be purchased at ticketweb.com or by calling 845-471-1966.
The show at Venu in Buffalo Thursday is at 7pm and features openers Hair Nation. Tickets can be purchased here.
