Why You Absolutely MUST Get Your Hearing Tested This May

Welcome Hudson Valley to this week’s edition of IN TOUCH, the public affairs and issues program that runs across Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley radio stations.  

May is Better Hearing and Speech Month. It was founded in 1927 by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as an opportunity to raise awareness about hearing and speech problems, and to encourage people to think about getting their hearing checked. 

Today’s guests are Ed Ryan and Byron Robertson from Beltone Hearing. Since May is Better Hearing and Speech Month, we discuss the importance of getting your hearing tested regularly. Heck, I got my hearing tested recently, and even got specialized ear plugs, so we talk about that, too. We also go into the new legislation passed in November allowing for Over-the-Counter Hearing Aids, and how the legislation has impacted the community.
