Fishkill, Beacon Bagel Shops Go ‘Red & White’ For Great Cause

There are two bagel shops in Dutchess County, NY that you have to visit this month for not only great bagels but to also help support an amazing cause.

Admit it New Yorkers are some of the most unique people in the world! We have a "way" about us that separates us from other folks across the country...LOL! Some might say we have an "edge" to us that makes us different. That may be the case but there is one thing that definitely separates us from everyone else is that we LOVE our bagels and can all agree that the best bagels in the world come from New York. Just ask any NY bagel fan! If anyone disagrees we will fight them...LOL!

New York Loves Bagels

It's not even close or up for debate, year after year bagels from the Empire State win awards at bagel festivals across the country. Just last month two Hudson Valley bagel shops won awards at BagelFest 2024 and now another bagel shop (with 2 Hudson Valley locations) is ready to serve up a bagel that can make a huge difference for some really deserving athletes.

Fishkill & Beacon Bagel Shop Selling Red & White Bagels

The folks at the Bagel Shoppe in Fishkill and Beacon, NY have announced that for the whole month of October, they will be selling "red & white" bagels to raise money for the amazing athletes of Special Olympics New York. The Bagel Shoppe has supported these incredible athletes year after year by selling exclusive bagels and donating all the proceeds to help raise awareness and support for these amazing athletes.

They announced their support this year on Facebook saying,

"October!! Special Olympics, New York awareness month! Specialty red and white BAGELS in honor of “Frankie Boy” Raffaele. Your purchase during the month of October, 100% of the proceeds benefit these amazing athletes. ❤️"

 

The Bagel Shoppe has been a longtime supporter of Special Olympics New York and this year they are choosing to honor “Frankie Boy” Raffaele a relative of shop owner Joe Raffaele. Frankie Raffaele sadly passed away at 54 in 2022 and was an inspiring presence who loved sports and taking part in the Special Olympics according to their Facebook page.

Bagel Shoppe Dutchess County Locations

The Bagel Shoppe in Fishkill is located at 986 Main Street and is open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays. The Beacon location is at 466 Main Street and is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
