New Restaurant Finally Replacing Flavorful Ladle In Highland
One of Ulster County, NY's favorite restaurants has laid dormant for years. Finally, an announcement has been made about its replacement.
The Flavorful Ladle in Highland, NY opened in 2019 and maintained a 4.5-star rating on both Yelp and Google. When they closed in 2022, the convenience of a restaurant on Route 44 just feet from Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, NY vanished for local residents. Luckily, new owners have stepped in with a new name and new business model.
New Restaurant Replacing the Flavorful Ladle in Highland, NY
"Coming soon!" said a recent post in a local Facebook group. "Daily specials, freshly prepared meals to go for the busy families, locally sourced produce & more!" The new restaurant, called Robbie's Breakfast & Lunch, has two specific details that will make a lot of diners very happy.
Robbie's Breakfast & Lunch Opening in Highland, NY
Owner Michael Hinspeter decided to name the new restaurant after his son and Uncle, both named Robbie. What sets the new business apart, Hinspeter says, is the unique angle to food service. "We are not a restaurant, [and] not a typical deli. I would say we will be similar to a Tony's Newburgh Lunch... like an old Luncheonette style place." There are also special offers for many Hudson Valley residents.
Special Discounts at Robbie's Breakfast & Lunch in Highland, NY
Robbie's Breakfast & Lunch's menu includes an "all day, every day" 10% discount for students, teachers, military service members, and first responders. It also includes another detail that might be small but goes a long way: all menu prices already include New York sales tax.
A New Dining Option Coming to Ulster County, NY
The location of Robbie's Breakfast & Lunch will be especially helpful for Hudson Valley commuters. Despite the popular Rocking Horse Ranch Resort right down the road, this particular stretch of Route 44 is a bit of a dead zone for commerce. Adding a breakfast and lunch destination for intercounty travelers (including this author) makes for the perfect pitstop. The restaurant currently has a targeted opening month of mid-June 2024.
