In a scene fit for a horror movie, or a nightmare, a very large snake fell onto a sleeping New York man.

Recently, a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation officer responded to a home in the village of Pulaski, Oswego County, after a panicked caller said a large snake fell from the ceiling onto the man who was sleeping in his bedroom.

After a brief investigation, the officer determined the six-foot-long Red-Tailed boa constrictor escaped its enclosure in the apartment above the man and entered the ceiling.

The snake, which is legal to possess in New York, was reunited with its owner, officials say.
