A Hudson Valley woman stuffed more than $1,200 in groceries in her shopping cart Wednesday. The Times Herald Record reports Genevieve Diana of Middletown was the grand prize winner of the Holiday Grocery Dash.

The contest, gave her two minutes to dash through the store and put as many items in her cart as she possibly could.

The Record also reported that Diana's daughter Madelin had a very special request of bacon. Ironically we'd have made the same request had we won a similar contest.

The concept of Holiday Grocery Dash reminds us of perhaps the best game show of all time, Supermarket Sweep. The show originally aired in the 1960s, but it was brought back in the 90s and 2000s. Contestants were given the opportunity to go on shopping spree's through the store after competing in a trivia challenge.

In October of the year, Fremantle Media purchased worldwide rights to the show and is expected to bring it back sometime in 2018. We'll be waiting. Patiently. In the meantime, you can relive an episode from 1994 below.
