Upon arrival emergency officials found Lacey lying on the bed unresponsive and not breathing. She was pronounced dead shortly before 1:30 p.m.

Police say Dymes was also unconscious on the floor near the bed. Police executed a search warrant later that day were the child had died and found an open bottle of alcohol, along with various and many over the counter, prescription, and illegal drugs around the bedroom. Police also found two handwritten notes in the room.

Dymes faces a maximum of four years in prison but is expected to be sentenced to five to 11 years’ probation. According to CBS, Judge Barbara Zambelli is prepared to show mercy because Dymes has suffered enough.

Dymes will be sentenced on April 12th.
