The Hudson Valley location where Bruce Springsteen recorded "Born to Run" will finally be getting an official marker installed this month.

The Journal News reports that the site of 914 Sound Studios will be getting an official marker that will be unveiled on August 18 at 6pm. The studios once stood on the corner of Route 303 and Erie Street in Blauvelt, just south of Nanuet in Rockland County. Bruce Springsteen used the facilities to record tracks for "Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ," "The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Shuffle" and the title track of "Born to Run." Dusty Springfield, Blood Sweat & Tears, Janas Ian and The Ramones were also clients of 914 Sound Studios.

There will be an official ceremony for the marker's unveiling that will be attended by some special guests along with the studio's founder, Brooks Arthur. Those who come to the ceremony will also be treated to some live music and refreshments. And, as a bonus, if your car is dirty you can also get it cleaned; the building where 914 Sound Studios once stood is now home to a car wash.
