It's officially fall. It just rolled in earlier this morning at 10:21. Another summer just flew by. Or did it?

It's the thought of winter that I don't love so much. This year is a little different, though.

Actually, when I think back to the things I did in June, it seems like quite a while ago.

Beer, Bourbon, and Bacon on June 18. It feels as if it could have been six or seven months ago, but it was only three.

Fourth of July. I'm trying to remember what I did that day. A barbecue? Maybe. It was so long ago.

I do like fall. It's the thought of winter that I don't love so much. This year is a little different, though.

Last winter, I lived in a hotel because I had a house fire in the beginning of November. We were out of our house for close to six months. Thank God nobody was badly hurt, and our house wasn't destroyed.

It just feels so good to be back home in our cozy and even better than before house. I'm actually looking forward to winter. So much better than last year. And looking forward to winter makes for a better fall

It just feels so good to be back home in our cozy and even better than before house.

This year I will enjoy the foliage without thinking about snow. I will take walks without thinking about how cold it going to get. I will not dwell on how much shoveling we'll have to do.

Instead. I'll count my blessings, enjoy some great fall festivals, and look forward to the coziness of winter. At least that's what I'm going to try to do.

Happy fall! Here's a NOT happy song about autumn. But it's a great one.
